During the IPAF Summit on April 20 in Berlin, Germany, Sinoboom CEO Susan Xu gave a keynote speech on the topic of AI in the MEWP industry.

Susan focused on three key aspects of the topic, looking at what AI is, its application in the MEWP industry, and how AI will develop in the future. Sinoboom’s own expertise in this field was used to illustrate current applications and innovations, such as gesture control. Looking to near-future applications of AI, Susan stated, “AI is not the enemy, it just means that people don’t necessarily need to work on the shop floor or production line, but can be utilized elsewhere in the company. It also means we can reduce the need for manual labor in dangerous situations such as cleaning skyscraper windows, which can be done with automated MEWPs”.

Susan Xu is the only female Asian IPAF Council member, and was honored to be invited to present at this prestigious industry event.
